SEMI-CENTENNIAL OF FREEDOM.
The "American Anti=Slavery Society" was organized at a Convention held in Philadelphia, on the fourth, fifth, and sixth of December, 1833.
That event marks an epoch in the famous moral agitation which culminated in the final overthrow of Slavery, and the reconstruction of the American Union on the basis of IMPARTIAL LIBERTY and IMPARTIAL LAW.
A new generation has arisen, to whom the record of the brave struggle of the American Abolitionists may well be commended as a historic treasure, and an inspiring lesson.
A meeting to celebrate the Semi=Centennial of this event will be held in
Commencing on the 4th day of December next at 10 A. M.
We hope for the presence of the few surviving members of the convention, and other leading actors in the great movement; and a general invitation is hereby extended to the public.
