To "The Overseers of The School for Black
people and their descendants"
The committee appointed 2nd of 3rd month
last to attend to the renewal of trusts, Report
that the service has been accomplished; the ground
rents heretoforheld in trust by Philip Garrett and
others, having been transferred to Thomas Evans
Saml B. Morris, Earl Shinn, Thomas Wood,
Henry Cope, Samuel Holgate and Blakey Sharpless,
they having been previously approved and appointed
to assume the trust as [?] by the minutes of the three monthly meetings hereto annexed.
These Friends [?] non Trustees for all the
ground Rents and ammenities belonging to the schools
excepting those held by the school corporation.
"At a monthly meeting of Friends of Philadelphia for the
Southern Districtheld 4th mo 24th 1844
"The Committee who have charge of the schools for Black
People and their descendants, proposing that John Paul
Philip Garrett, Jacob Justice, and Joseph Howell, should be
directed to transfer the property now held in trust by them
for the use of said schools to Henry Cope, Samuel Holgate,
Thomas Wood, Thomas Evans, Samuel B. Morris, Earl Shinn
and Blakey Sharpless; that the proposition is approved
and they are accordingly directed to mark and execute
to those friends a good and sufficiently conveyance in law
of the estate held by the, in trust for the benefit of said schools"
