| Description | Papal Bull of Clement VII allowing priests in Madrid to reduce the number of holidays celebrated. Gothic hand. Dark brown ink. Top line contains some capitals that are larger than the rest of the capitals in the text. The first letter and the 'D' in "Decreto" are more than 3 lines long and quite elaborate. The last line contains 4 evenly spaced words. Left margin contains "Mar i." To the left of this are signatures. Bottom right corner contains thin, wispy writing that may be a signature. There are four holes which form a rectangle at the bottom center of the document. Metal point ruling(?). Verso contains a lot of writing: some is rather old, and some is by previous possessors. This writing includes, but is not limited to, two summaries of the document (one in Spanish) and acquisition numbers. There is a (burned?) hole in the center of the document. |
