| Title | Letter, King Philip III of Spain |

| Description | Signed letter from King Philip III of Spain to Sebastian de Oliago (?), furnisher of provisions for his armada. Cursive. Brown ink. In the center of the line above the main body of the text, an undecipherable word appears. On the recto, a 2.5 cm left margin exists, and the text runs right up to the edge of the right side of the page. The signature of King Philip III of Spain appears in a dark brown ink, just below the end of the text. Writing at the bottom right of the page in a second hand. Bottom of the page contains a dark ink signature(?), and a rather modern Spanish summary of the document is written in two lines along the bottom edge of the page. A large 4.5 cm diameter hole goes through the bottom half of all of the pages, but the letter and signature of the king are not damaged. Verso of the first page and the recto of the second page is blank. The verso of the second page contains a modern English summary of the document in pencil. Perpendicular to this text and at the bottom of the page in dark brown ink is the date of the document, "Del Rey Mo Senor" and 6 lines of Spanish text, possibly in the same hand as the main text of the document. |
