| Description | Arabic document. Illuminated manuscript with illustration of a medieval battle scene. Both sides of the first page and the recto of the second page are filled with writing in four columns and surrounded by the a gold border with an additional black ink border. The verso of the first page contains some writing in red ink. Verso of the second page contains four columns of writing, below which is a scene of a medieval battle in red, orange, pink, yellow, green, blue, and brown ink. Writing in black ink. Pictured in the foreground is a man slaughtering another man, severed heads, and other battle casualties. Just above them, two men riding horses prepare to attack one another. In the background are two groups of men looking on, one group on the left and one on the right. Mountains rise behind them. Surrounding the text and illustration is a gold border with an additional black ink border around it. Some writing in black ink exists in the right and bottom margins. |
