Newport 8/25/82My dearest husbandThy postal recd yesterday is the only news I have yet had from thee, but I have little doubt a letter is awaiting me in the P.O. if I could only get hold of it. This morning father & Lilly with the four oldest children drove in to Newport to get father’s spectacles mended & do all other errands which were necessary, and this afternoon we had the old grey ho’s put to our phaeton & father & Anna, A.C.E., Agnes & myself drove down to Boat House rocks, where all alighted except myself & walked along the cliffs to Marine Avenue, where I met
