I wrote to Mother from Geneva last first day week & intended to have before this sent you another account of our proceedings but our time has been so occupied with seeing sights that it seemed to be no easy matter. We were disappointed at Montreal that we rec’d no letters from home but hope we shall get them on our return tomorrow. None of us have heard from Phila. since we left. We left Geneva second day having stopped that night at Buffalo & arrived at Niagara next morn’g. We made the best use of our time there & saw everything seeable I believe except the whirlpool. It was hard work too, for we did not as most did only go morning and evening but were out immediately after break with interruptions for dinner often till 10 o’clock.
