Dear Anna I wish thee was here to enjoy the quiet & repose of this place. It is very different from Mrs. Hotchkiss's. There we were in a small house & near the corner of two dusty & well traveled roads. Here we are, though nearer to the stores & main part of the town, more retired from the hustle. If we go away from the town we have only two or three other houses to pass to be quite in the country. A little ways back of Joseph Drinkers house which is the next place to ours
