Philada 8 mo 2nd 1841Dear FatherI have called several times at thy house and found all well. I have opened several letters but only one of much interest. This is from cousin Caleb & relates to a conversation he has had at the Virginia Springs with the three Kentucky Bank Directors on their return homewards. I do not perceive in it anything new to thee.Brother Alfred has gone again to London Grove & expects to remain there until the 11th of this month. He learned just before he left town of the decease of Davis Richards; but as I have not seen him since he heard it, I am unable to communicate any particular.Rachel Francis Thomas and myself came to town this morning, & attended our Quarterly Meeting. It was pretty large for the season of the year. We had two good sermons, one from Elizabeth Evans & the other from Thomas Kite. The meeting I thought was solemn, tho' a little interrupted towards the close by an attempt on the part
