Dear Tom I have thy letter of yesterday & am much obliged to thee for all thee has done about the wall & fencing of the Chew St lots. I approve of all thy suggestions about these, except that I think the opening in the walls at the corner of High & Chew St ought to be wider - I should think 2 or 3 feet. With regard to running wire along the trees back of the houses instead of a fence between the rows I quite approve of that also if Margaret & Katie do. It could be altered afterwards if either of them found the joint occupation of the passage way inconvenient There ought to be light gates opening into the passage way from each of their lots & I do not think any other
