Dear Lillie Thy letter of 8th came just as I was leaving home this morning - & the Postman took at the same time the answer I had written the night before. I say answer because I think it covered, the ground of thy inquires except with respect to the tank at the barn. As to that if Miles gave me the correct cost of the lining he cannot build a tank of the size he spoke of & make the necessary corrections with pipes for 25 dollars. Still it may be worth doing. If thee concludes to do it I would make the tanks of good size so as not to waste the water of a good rainfall. The plumbing & connections will be the same for a small as for a large tank. I hope thee will never hesitate about consulting me on thy affairs for fear of giving me trouble nothing troubles me so much as having nothing to do - & I have a great fondness for getting my fingers into other peoples pies.
