Dundaff, Pa. 6/21/95. Dear Mother: Arrived here safely and in high spirits about 7 o'clock this eve. We made Nicholson in 2 1/2 hrs., escaping the rain beautifully. At n. it began to rain hard and when we left at 3. p.m. it was still raining. However, it soon stopped & the last [-] hrs. of the journey was made without the use of [gum]-coats or umbrella. We are very comfortable here at Miss Christopher's as she is exceedingly polite & kind. Have no definite plans for tomorrow. Will probably move eastward about 15 miles. Affec'ly F. R. C. Jr.
