Dear Aunty This is to inform thee of my Safe arrival in this city about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon & as Mother says thee would like to hear early from me I take the first opportunity of letting thee know of my & her welfare. She seems pretty comfortable this morning though I hear she suffered a good deal on my account yesterday & the night before -. but that is all over now & she seems so well pleased with my company that I hope she will now forget her troubles. As for me I am a hearty little thing, with a mouth full as large as desireable. no eyes or nose to speak of. but with what Mother calls a very pretty head of hair. I was weighed yesterday & weighed nearly eight pounds & though thee may think that is nothing to brag of yet I assure thee I feel very well satisfied with it myself, especially
