Dear cousin Frank,
I think I must write to thee & tell thee how I have been getting up in the world, or else down, I cant exactly tell which,--at any rate I have made a move,--having left my infant sch. room to a new teacher, & adjourned next door, where I now operate as assistant to Leander Waterman Esq. now if Leander was not married there might something very romantic happen�but as he is married in the first place, & in the second place wld. nt be at all likely to fall in love with me as a sch.
