First day eve 5/7
Dear Mother
&c
Altho’ it is after 10 o’ck I want to just drop you
a line to tell you to look out for a call from a young
gentleman this week. Jesse sent me word to day that he was
going [on] himself to P & out to Mary Yarnalls & that he wd.
give you a call & bring or take anything I wanted so here is
a chance again for the silk skt. only I wld nt like to ask
him to bring it, as I think he only offered out of
politeness & will probably take nothing with him but a
valise & as mine is a plain silk & wd. not bear rumpling, I
guess it had better not be sent altho’ I told him I shd. be
obliged to him to bring a small package. If thee Mother cd.
send
