Philada. 11 mo 7. 1833
William Forster
Esteemed friend
It is probable that my son Alfred, who is about embarking for Madeira for the benefit of his health, may visit your country on his return homewards. Should he do so, I have a desire that he should call on thee. He would like to be made known to some friends in England, among whom he would prefer to spend his time while among you. He is an exemplary member of the religious Society of Friends, & I shall feel greatly obliged by any act of kindness & attention which may be shown to him.
thy friend
Thos. P. Cope
