Awbury 1st Day 3/25/1911
[actually 26th]
My dear Algie
Mary & I felt it kindest not to intrude on you today, being sure that you knew well how anxious we were to assist you at this sad time in anyway & that you would ask us, if we could do anything.
As I sit writing at the desk that thy dear father & cousin Rachel gave us as a wedding present, many cherished memories of my associations with him & with you all come to me.
First of all I remember the pleasure of his first cordial greeting when I visited you at Conanicut for the first time. How heartily he & you all took me right into your family, so that I have never since felt anyway not entirely at home in your house or enjoying your hospitality.
