Dear Mother
I am going to try to mend my ways and write thee a real letter! Thee sees thee suffers from the fact thee is so good natured about our short comings. I am afraid I sometimes write to other members of the family and not to thee because I think thee will understand it is not because I do not love thee I do not write.
