Dear Mother
I was just about to write to thee, in fact I started a letter last night, getting as far as the date,- when I received thine this morning. I wrote to Mr. Wood on Sixth day and I suppose he has received it by this time. It is rather a new experience writing to elderly gentlemen, so I hope I didn't say anything queer.
Art Brown arrived a week ago last First-day and he and Paul and I had a very good time. Art is very different from the rest of mankind- he is so very anxious to please and writes letters at such an awful rate. In one mail he sent eight or nine letters including postals. Isn't that awful?
