My dear wife
Thy postal came today and was very welcome. I was very glad to hear of your welfare. We are all well at home. Carry has been spending several days at Ellis Yarnalls but expected to come home this morning - Father Tom and C were at Cousin F Yarnalls reception yesterday - There were 500 [invitations?] and they had a band of music and four large omnibusses running to and from the station. Father seemed quite disgusted- Tom seems quite well again- Carrie and Anna Rhoads will not come on until the 25th [---] proposed and either Tom or father will come on with them. Aunt E Cope has gone down to Maryland to spend a month - This morning was Monthly Meeting at Frankford. Father and I drove over in the buggy with Dick - and I came on into town- Sister Ellie is going down to Maryland on second day next. The weather is quite warm again today- Lilie & Alexis moved last third day and are quite getting settled in - I have not been over there yet but hope to go in a day or so - I think thee had better buy a sythe I told John I want the tall grass in the Chicken yard and the weeds between the barn and Carriage house mowed- Hope you are getting along comfortably and are all well- Love to all and lots for thy ever dear self- Dont work too hard- Try and rest
thine lovingly JE.
