I received Sister C's note about the checks on New Year's eve at Uncle Haines's, where we were all assembled in accordance with time-honored custom. Lilly has already set her mind to rest about the signatures and I can add that I have paid a number of the subscriptions as follows:
Women's Hospital, C.C. $5., A.C. $10.--
Monthly Meeting, C.C. 5., A.C. 5.--
Bee Hive School, C.C. 5., A.C. 5.--
The two last through Anna Yarnall. Netty said nothing about Monthly Meeting subscriptions and Carry's sent no list at all, but as Anna Yarnall asked for them on behalf of the meeting (having been appointed for that purpose) and they are practically obligatory, I thought it best to pay them.
