My dear Father,
Thy nice letter of the 24th received last 6th day was very welcome I do assure thee, & calls for a speedy answer, otherwise I should hardly have ventured to write so soon again, fearing that I cannot find sufficient of interest to fill another letter. Mother writes so often that she completely exhausts the Germantown news, & I often fear our letters are only inferior duplicates*. Now, for instance, I have calculated on telling thee all about the wedding, & she says she wrote thee about it last 6th day when it was all fresh. However, I shall venture a little
