Rachel CMy dear friend, it was truly acceptable, to hear one of the daughters of my dear friend Anna S. Cope should take the trouble to write me, I was included as one of your faithful friends, who suffered and with you longed to pour in the Balm of Gilead, so surely promised after death, to those who believe and obey. The meeting held was a solemn occasion to me- to see many descendants gathered around our friend Francis P. Cope- who had so many near to him. I who… lean assured however if I have Albanus to the ear I have a host. Do as a friend & overseer for me, soon? Just now I am longing to see thee even not driving for a nose cold. Should thee feel drawn to come & fashion me with a telephone? That I may be sure to see thee?
I hear delightful estimates of thee, from those who know the code- as the children say- “I want it all for my own half, “half” is to know it for myself.
I trust thy precious mother whom I know well & tenderly love, is supported by the Love, by the Power of God, just as our promise is, fore those who are gone.
