Thy letter written “4th of June” came to me while at Wilmington on the 14th & after reading it with great interest I forwarded it to Francis, who also enjoyed it very much. I was very sorry & know thee had been having trouble with thy knee again, it certainly is most trying to be disabled from walking about in beautiful places where you tarry awhile, beside having pain & discomfort which thee no doubt has had. In referring now to thy letter of July 4th which was a very affectionate & appreciative reply to mine, I want to say that I had not heard of your visit to the Friend’s Mt’g in Edinboro which it was interesting to know of,
