My dear Lilly. I know
that thee has thought it strange that I have never written
to thee all summer. but one thing and another always turned
up. & [---] the days go by without doing so – now that I
really have something to tell thee perhaps it won’t be so
hard! but I wont go on like Elliston Morris – but will get
