Woodbourne July 13th 1890Dearest Mother,I meant to have written thee before this, but have been very busy, there is so much to look after outside as well as within the house. We took advantage of the fine weatehr & no company to get the hay cut last week, & that kept Fran. & the house busy most of the time. Frank & I drove to Montrose with Topsy in Third-day morn. & found it pretty warm, but the air was fine & we did not suffer from the heat at all as I fear you did at Aubury. I was so sorry for thee to go back into such a hot-spell. I am afraid
