B – 4/11
Dear Mother & sisters,
I think I shall
take to writing to you in a journal form, as I often have
little times when I can sit down for a few minutes & no
longer. I recd thy letter Carry of the 9th wh. was very
nice & also the cuffs, wh. were also very nice, & I am very
much obliged to whoever did ‘em & that person was mother I
reckon & it was very good of her & they were just what I
wanted. & now if you can only send me a white skirt, I shall
be so [g---] for I can hardly get along without, as I find
the one I brot will hardly bear another washing.
On 4th
day eve. I took tea at Mart. Chestons & had such a nice
time. Altho’ she is so feeble that she was
