My dear Annie,
It
seems to me that a very improper time has elapsed since the
receipt of they welcome letter, without my having answered
it - but as we are both well hosted in excuses I will not
add to the list.- Just as I began my letter, thy kind note
was handed me - & I truly thank thee for it and should love
to comply with they request - but [dont] see that it would
be possible. Besides dearie I want thee to come here - and
hope to persuade thee to do so.- Your place must indeed
looklovely & I have thought several times how I should like
to look upon
