Boston, March 2nd 1902Dearest Mother:We had a beautiful day after all yesterday & a very interesting trip to Concord & Lexington accompanied by Harry Foote, Roger Forbes & Frank, who joined us at Cambridge. We got our lunch (a pretty poor one) at a quaint little Inn & then took a wagonette & drove round to see the sights, it was really too sloppy to walk though mild & balmy & beautiful overhead. I dare say thee visited Concord in thy youth but none of us had ever been there, except Harry Foote. It was very familiar ground to him, as he had gone to school in Lexington as a boy
