Awbury, Fourthday eve’gMy Dear WifeWhile Kohlman & Hazen are taking an after dinner smoke in the dining room & Tom is joining in a political discussion which probably will end in smoke too, I take the opportunity of acknowledging receipt of Margarets & thy letters. I was [?] at the Asylum this afternoon & [?] I came home was surprised to find Kohlman with the boys sitting on the front piazza. It took me back to the old times when we thought something else was the matter with the manufacturing business & that there was a good time coming in the near future.
