The Report from Chester Quarterly Meeting was again read
which contains a proposall to this Meeting in these Words."We have
"also to lay before this Meeting a Concern that our Meeting have been un=
"=der by reason of the great Quantity of Negroes fetch't and imported into
"this Country, and finding by our Discipline that we as a Society of People
"are restricted from being concernd therein, think it as reasonable that
"we should be restricted from buying them when imported, and in Order
"thereto desires that this Meeting would take the same into your serious
"Consideration" -- After some Debate Thereupon, it is without Oppo=
=sition agreed that the same be refer'd to the respective Quarterly Meetings
who are desired to consider it, and bring their minds concerning this Propo=
=sal in Writing to the next Yearly Meeting.
