Stamp/Sticker/Seal/Envelope CollectionSwarthmore College Peace Collection

The stamp, sticker, seal and envelope collection currently contains over 800 items and continues to expand. These items have been donated over many years to the Peace Collection (SCPC) by individual peace activists and peace organizations.

Items date from the nineteenth century through the twenty-first century and highlight the ideas and activities of the peace movement. The collection documents decades of political grassroots action in the areas of peace and promotes the causes of human rights, women's rights, temperance, and labor rights. Items from World War I, the Vietnam War era, the anti-nuclear movement of the 1980s, and various legislative political campaigns are especially well represented.

The record for each item contains an image of the item, descriptive information, provenance, organization or company that created the item, and date and historical context when known.
